Virtual Lecture:
Wed. Oct. 28 | 6pm
Dr. Nicholas F. Bellantoni will discuss his latest book about his experiences as Connecticut State Archaeologist emeritus. He is summoned often to investigate human burials due to economic development projects, natural disasters, suspected crime scenes, and by request from families. In each instance, archaeological excavations uncovered a few surprises, including the burial of a suspected vampire and more. Dr. Bellantoni has been excavating in Connecticut for almost 40 years and continues to teach in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Connecticut.

Trumbull and Five Fellow Patriots From Connecticut in the American Revolution fills an important gap in existing literature of the American Revolution, revealing the many contributions of patriot officers who helped General George Washington and his Continental Army win the war and establish a new nation. This book is the first of two volumes, centered on John Trumbull, his artistically-talented sister, Faith, and four fellow officers from Connecticut in the American Revolution through the end of 1778.
